"I wanted to start your day with an excellent Throwback Friday artist, his name is Michael Brun, he’s 19. Brun was born and raised in Haiti; he is currently attending Davidson College in North Carolina, pursuing a career in medicine (good luck to you sir!). Aside from having the ambition to go into medicine, Michael has the passion for making music. From what I can tell, he takes music he likes and makes his own music to be played underneath the vocals for his own remixes. I was first turned on to his stuff through his bootleg of Angus and Julia Stone’s Big Jet Plane. It’s about a year old and it’s really just a chill song – it’s hard not to like this one. Then I looked at his other work and a lot of it is pretty relaxed, but some of it has a nice Electronic flow and gets your energy up. I also included his remix on John Mayer’s Bigger Than My Body, I don’t think I’ve ever hear a remix to this song, and I really enjoyed what Brun did to the original; especially with the builds and the two epic drops."

All this time off is doing good for the mau5. He is using the time to jump back into the studio and come up with some new tracks. These are implementing new synths and that unique sound that no one else in the industry can match. In this particular track called ‘Closer’ Joel uses some deep synths that one can imagine him playing with his cube lit up and the room dark until the full beat drops and the show begins! This is still a work in progress so don’t take it as his new music, but enjoy this and keep an eye out for new tracks from him

Adam F’s credentials as a producer are self-evident. During a career that spans over so many different genres, he has made an indelible mark with anything and everything that he has turned his hand to, from MOBO winning Drum & Bass productions to working with some of the biggest stars of US hip hop including LL Cool J, Redman and Missy Elliot. He united the worlds of US hip hop and the UK underground with his collaborative remake of seminal track ‘Bigger Than Hip Hop’ with DJ Fresh in 2010 which got the go ahead from Dead Prez themselves who rerecorded the vocals for the final version. His latest release sees him remain at the top of his game, cementing his place at the forefront of UK underground in 2012.
His recent ‘In The Air’ collaboration with SonicC immediately caused a fanatical response when given away as a free download following support from Annie Mac, Mistajam, Zinc, A-Trak and Zeds Dead amongst others, while four of his tracks have been made ‘Hottest Record in the World’ on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show in the last 16 months. Now he isn’t wasting any time in returning with huge new single ‘When The Rain Is Gone’, a track struck through with his undeniable electricity.
